William G. Jeffery
directs his attention to labor and employment matters that include a wide
variety of employment problems. As a former trial attorney for the National
Labor Relations Board, he has substantial experience with that agency as
well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of
Labor, various state labor and equal employment agencies, and the Federal
Wage Appeals Board. He has spent considerable time before state and Federal
courts throughout the nation, as well as before government agencies on
issues involving the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and the
various state industrial and health acts, including implementing standards
and regulations.
His practice emphasizes areas such as:

Development and implementing merit shop operations

Effective assistance in responding to organizational drives

Contract administration including the interpretation of
contract terms

Advice and representation in labor arbitrations

Counseling and drafting policies and procedures with regard

Developing preventative strategies in formulating personnel
policies as well as representing clients charged with discrimination before
various courts and agencies

Development, review and consultations with regard to
employment manuals and employment policies

Advice and advocacy with respect to a broad range of
employment and labor laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act,
Davis-Bacon Act, Service Contract Act, and state prevailing wage laws

Guidance and practical assistance in safety planning.
He received his undergraduate degree (B.A. maxima cum laude) in
1964, his Master's degree in Economics from Washington State University in 1967, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington in 1976. He has been
a member of the Washington State Bar Association since 1976. He is the
author of numerous articles dealing with labor and employment issues and is a
member of the American Bar Association, active both in the section of labor and
employment, and its litigation section. He has lectured before numerous
professional organizations and associations throughout the United States.

Elisabeth Kranz
emphasizes several
areas of employment law in her independent practice. She assists employers in defending
against allegations of discriminatory conduct, including racial and sexual
harassment, at both the state and federal level. She defends employers in
alleged violations of the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA).
She also supplements the firm's expertise by providing support with research and
writing on complex labor law issues, as well as other employment law issues.
Elisabeth is also active in her community. She is a volunteer at
Pine Tree Elementary where she teaches in the classroom, tutors children in
reading, and has organized an after-school Spanish language program.
In her free time, she plays guitar with the Washington State
Old-Time Fiddler's Association. She performs with her husband and daughter at
retirement homes, schools and libraries.
Elisabeth was born in Portland, Oregon, in 1962 and admitted to
the practice of law in 1990. She received her undergraduate degree from the
University of Washington in 1984 (B.A., English, cum laude). She received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 1989 from Seattle University School of Law.
From 1990-1992, she served as law clerk to the Commissioners of the Washington
State Court of Appeals. She taught legal research, writing, oral argument, and
analysis to first and second year law students at Seattle University School of
Law from 1992 to 1993.
